However, in TC2, I'm about 150 hours in, have 4-5 disciplines maxed out of 16 in the game. There's much more content, after 25-30 hours in TC1 I found myself looking to spam crate runs and maybe faction runs to optimize grinding, which I got bored of very quickly. However, nearly everything else makes up for it: The story in the 2nd is lackluster, so I wouldn't have high expectations for it. Think it's overall better than the first. I don't know why but I just take my MX-5 and just drive around the USA, it's too damn fun!) TC1 story was just plain bad and kinda boring.īut other than that ill say what's stopping you for playing The crew 2? There is still some active users who play that game for all platforms so it shouldn't be hard to form a crew! (P.S: I spend over 100+ hours on street racing alone. Yea there is not really one here as you just join into different family's and know about it a bit more in TC2. And there is vanity items to give you more options to customize your ride even more but that requires "CC" (Crew Credits) that can be brought IRL money (Not recommended) or just completing contracts that you get from HQ of your faction! Also getting into every discipline types of vehicles is easier too which was my major complaint for TC1 unfortunately for that game. Car customization ill say it's quite the same but now more consistent with it's parts for each car but mainly Street to Hyper cars family.

I prefer TC2 for progression cause it still slow like the first game but you get quite a few upgrade parts, decent amount of Cash and EXP (Calling it before it's still experience points) when finishing a race or a skill challenge (But it's quite rare). The 2nd game physics are much more direct and you can fine tune it better to suit the style, same settings as before with every assists turned off + Manual/w Clutch. I mainly uses Racing wheels for The Crew games and the first one was floaty but controllable when it comes down to the handling of cars when all the assists was off + Manual/w Clutch during normal street cars. But it's up to you in the end of the day. To me, The Crew 2 is a fun racing game for the most part on my end! The reviews are 50/50 by the general public but other than less if you like TC1 a lot then you might liking TC2 the same or more.
